What is Entertaiment?

Entertaiment is a broad term for anything that amuses or diverts, but it usually refers to high art or popular culture. Any form of entertainment is fine if it doesn’t hurt anyone or go below human dignity. But what’s entertaining for one person may be annoying or even offensive to another. The word entertain has roots in the Medieval Latin intertenere, and also in ten, the Indo-European root of which means “stretch.” Entertaiment is programmatically compiled from various online sources to illustrate current usage.
